DIWA FlyIQ Drone Training_edited.jpg

Your people are already flying drones. Are they licensed for what they're actually doing?

FlyIQ builds compliant, in-house drone capability inside mining and resources operations — on your site, on your aircraft, around your roster. We are a CASA operator holding BVLOS, EVLOS, night and above-400-foot approvals, and we train your crews to the standard we fly to ourselves.

Most Sites Have Drones.
Very Few Have Control of Them.

Aircraft get bought against departmental budgets. They are flown by whoever is keenest. And the work quietly drifts beyond what the operator is licensed or approved to do — a little higher, a little further, a little closer to people and plant.

Nobody notices until an audit, a near miss or an insurance question brings it to the surface. By then the conversation is no longer about capability. It is about exposure.

Meanwhile the commercial case runs the other way. Stockpile volumetrics, tailings monitoring, conveyor and structural inspection, blast and subsidence survey, environmental work and emergency response are all recurring tasks currently paid for at contractor day rates. An operation that can fly them internally, to a defensible standard, keeps that margin and cuts turnaround from weeks to hours.

Getting from the first position to the second is a capability project, not a training booking.

The Capability Pathway: Six Stages

Enter where you are. Stop where you need to. We do not sell seats on a course and wish you luck. We build the capability, the governance around it, and the recurrency that keeps it valid after the roster turns over.

1. Capability Scoping

A structured half-day to one-day review of what you fly now, who flies it, under whose approvals, and what you actually want to bring in-house. You receive a written assessment — including anywhere you are currently non-compliant.

4. Advanced Endorsements

BVLOS, EVLOS, night and above-400-foot capability, mapped to the use cases you intend to fly and taught by instructors working under those approvals commercially.

2. Pilot Licensing

Team RePL cohorts delivered at your operation, with AROC where radio work is required. On-site delivery removes travel and backfill cost, and the practical content is flown on your aircraft, in your environment.

5. Recurrency and Assurance

Scheduled annual recurrency, flight reviews and verification of competency, so competency survives roster changes and stands up to audit.

3. Governance

Chief Remote Pilot training and, where warranted, support through a Remote Operator Certificate application — so your operation holds its own approvals rather than borrowing a contractor's.

6. Surge Support

DIWA remains available as your contracted operator for work your in-house team is not yet approved or resourced to fly. No capability gap during transition.

Trusted in Real Operations

Our instructors fly commercially on mine sites, industrial assets and critical infrastructure every week.

Supporting organisations across mining, resources, utilities, infrastructure, environmental management and defence.

We Hold the Approvals We Teach

Our Own CASA ReOC 1174
Our Remote Operator Certificate carries BVLOS, EVLOS Class 1 and Class 2, night and above-400-foot approvals. Very few Australian operators hold that combination, so advanced operations are taught here from lived commercial experience, not from a textbook.

Active Commercial Operators
The people training your crew fly inspection and mapping missions for a living — often the same work your site needs done.

Independently Verifiable Compliance

DIWA is a Cm3 certified contractor and DISP member, with a documented safety management system, pre-mission risk assessments, site-specific hazard evaluation and current personnel and aircraft records. Your HSE and procurement teams can check that rather than take our word for it.

Site-Ready From Day One

Australian and veteran owned, operating since 2016. Our instructors complete your site inductions, medicals and access requirements before they arrive, work inside your permit-to-work and JHA systems, and train on your aircraft or ours. We fit your site's systems, not the other way round.

How Delivery Works

We deliver routinely on client sites, including fly-in fly-out and regional Western Australian operations. Our instructors complete your site inductions, medicals and access requirements. Training is scheduled around your roster, not our calendar — usually the deciding factor for operations that cannot release a crew for a week.

Cohorts are typically six to twelve participants. Larger workforces are staged across roster swings so no single swing loses its full complement of qualified operators.

On-site cohorts are priced case by case, per cohort rather than per seat. Per head they cost more than a classroom seat in Perth — we fly instructors to you rather than the other way round. What they remove is everything around the seat: no airfares for your crew, no accommodation, and your people off the roster for five days instead of seven. From around eight participants that difference is usually decisive.

Send us a headcount and a roster pattern and we will model both options and show you the real numbers — including the ones that favour sending two or three people to Perth instead.
